Please join us this October for a virtual panel showcasing community-inspired research across LTER sites. This 75-minute discussion will feature researchers from urban, marine, arctic, and other ecosystems sharing their experiences in collaborative science that empowers communities while advancing research goals.
Panelists will discuss best practices for community partnerships, lessons learned from knowledge co-production, and strategies for building trust between science and society. This event aims to equip LTER affiliates with tools and inspiration to connect their research with community needs and develop meaningful, place-based partnerships.
Organized by the LTER Graduate Student Committee in collaboration with the Broadening Participation Committee and APEAL. Whether you’re new to community engagement or looking to strengthen existing partnerships, this discussion will provide valuable insights for integrating collaborative approaches into long-term ecological research.
Announcing the new LTER Network Roadmap. What is the LTER Network beyond a collection of (amazing) sites and what are our collective goals? The new LTER Network Roadmap attempts to answer that question and lays out a series of activities to capitalize on the combined strengths of LTER sites, community, and partners. The plan includes contributions from many corners within the Network and from partners external to the Network.
Please join this LTER Network Community Call to hear and discuss our planned next steps and how you can get involved.
———————————————————————— The LTER monthly community call provides an opportunity to hold seminars, discussions, and learning opportunities of relevance to the broad LTER research community. These may include research seminars, discussions of emerging projects and methods, or the occasional organizational update.
