The Department of Integrative Biology and the Center for Limnology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Aquatic Ecology (tenure-track) position beginning August 2019. We seek a candidate to develop an internationally recognized research program focused on freshwater ecosystems. Applications will be particularly encouraged from candidates with a background in fish and fisheries ecology, and those who consider fish in a broader ecosystem context. Other potential areas of interest include quantitative ecology, aquatic conservation, community and ecosystem ecology, food web interactions, limnology, and global environmental change. PhD in aquatic biology, fish/fisheries ecology, limnology, or related field required prior to start of appointment. Applicants must demonstrate excellence and productivity in research, as well as a commitment to teaching. Appointments at the Associate level must possess experience and scholarship credentials for appointment with tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Expectations include excellence in research and graduate training, engagement in interdisciplinary and collaborative scholarship, ability to maintain a vigorous extramurally funded research program, and skilled teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
