Research Biologist (Assistant, Associate or Full Researcher) Marine Mitigation Monitoring, Marine Science Institute, UCSB

 The University of California, Santa Barbara SONGS Mitigation Monitoring Program is seeking a Research Ecologist in the Professional Researcher Series to oversee a long-term marine mitigation monitoring program. The researcher will join a team of UCSB scientists, science advisors, and California Coastal Commission (CCC) staff responsible for evaluating mitigation projects aimed at compensating for the loss of living marine resources caused by the operations of a coastal power plant. The mitigation consists of an artificial reef and a restored coastal wetland. The successful incumbent will work with other professional researchers to oversee the program, design the monitoring, analyze the data, provide written and oral reports on the monitoring results, and direct a science staff responsible for data collection and management.
