LTER standing committees include the Executive Board; Information Management (IMC); Education and Outreach (EOC); Broadening Participation (BP); and Graduate Student Representatives (GSC). Information Management Annual Meeting - September 8, 2025-September 9, 2025 - 10:00 am-1:00 pm -

The LTER Information Managers meet annually to discuss current challenges and opportunities facing the information management community.  For 2025, that meeting will take place online September 8 and 9 from 10 am PT to 1 pm PT (1-4 pm ET).

The 2025 Agenda includes:

  • Elections for the IM Executive Team
  • Updates from the LTER Network Office and the Environmental Data Initiative Repository
  • Discussion of a new LTER Strategic Plan
  • Updates to best practices for non-tabular data
  • Short presentations on AI tools and other current topics of interest
  • Techniques for generating EML
  • Discussion of the evolving roles of information managers

Plus, of course, some time to get to know your colleagues.
