The Authentic Research Experience for Teachers at LTERs (ARETS) project took place over 4 years, from 2022 to 2026. Through the program, twenty teachers embraced the opportunity to experience ecological research first-hand and make connections with researchers and with other teachers that will benefit them and their students for years to come. The program team—educators and researchers at three contrasting LTER sites—have presented the program at a variety of scientific conferences. The most compelling results, though, are articulated by the teachers themselves.
