From August 7 to August 12, the Ecological Society of America will hold its annual meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This year’s theme, “Novel Ecosystems in the Anthropocene,” will build on discussions initiated during last year’s centennial meeting, “Ecological Science at the Frontier.”

Human influence now represents the dominant influence on ecosystems worldwide– and a myriad of human activities drive change at both local and global scales. Meeting sessions will explore the science behind how new combinations of species in new environments will develop into functioning, novel ecosystems.

The LTER Network Sites will be well represented: 22 of the 25 sites will share research at the conference in a total of 148 different research presentations– ranging from poster sessions to symposiums, and workshops to lightning talks. The range and wealth of network knowledge and expertise represented in these talks spans the globe and promises to add to the overall richness of the meeting.

LTER-related presentations have been organized below by day and time. Please excuse any omissions or misattributions. We will continue to add to and adjust this list up until the start of the conference: please contact alpaugh@nceas.ucsb.edu with corrections.
