The attached response to the report of the Fourth Decadal Review Committee was prepared by a working group of the LTER Executive Board with major input from the entire Executive Board. A draft version of the response was circulated to each of the representative committees (Information Management; Education and Outreach; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice) and input was sought, received, and incorporated. The draft version was discussed at length by Lead PIs at the LTER All Scientists’ Meeting (September 19, 2022) and additional input was solicited from individual PIs.
The report of the Fourth Decadal Review Committee was delivered to and approved by the BIO-AC at their meeting of May 11-12, 2022 and released publicly on June 10, 2022. The LTER Network Response was approved by the LTER Executive Board and posted on the LTER Network website on October 25, 2022.
