SUMMARIZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE LTER NETWORK OFFICE DURING THE FIFTH YEAR OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DEB–9634135 – The LTER Network Office played key roles in four major activities during 2001-2002. The Network Office continued its leadership role in the effort to refresh the intellectual aims of LTER and to prioritize activities over the next 10 years. Staff from the Network Office took the lead in providing information requested by the panel conducting the 20 Year Review of the LTER program and contributed to the written network response to nine issues raised by the panel.

SUMMARIZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE LTER NETWORK OFFICE DURING THE FOURTH YEAR OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DEB–9634135 – The Network Office played key roles in three major LTER activities during 2000-2001. Preparations for a mid-term site review in May provided an opportunity to review and revise NET goals and led to an intensive effort to prioritize activities in support of these goals.

SUMMARIZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE LTER NETWORK OFFICE DURING THE THIRD YEAR OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DEB–9634135 – The third year of the Cooperative Agreement establishing the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network Office (NET) at the University of New Mexico ended on March 14, 2000. All activities proposed for the third year of the Cooperative Agreement were completed on schedule. A summary of noteworthy accomplishments during the past year is given below followed by descriptions of specific progress made in the seven major areas of responsibility of the Network Office.

1998 ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT SUMMARIZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE LTER NETWORK OFFICE DURING THE SECOND YEAR OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DEB–9634135 – The second year of the Cooperative Agreement establishing the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network Office (NET) at the University of New Mexico began on March 15, 1998. During this period, the transfer of NET activities from the University of Washington was finalized. The recruitment of NET staff was completed with the addition of a programmer/analyst, a systems administrator, and an accountant to the office.

ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORTSUMMARIZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE LTER NETWORK OFFICE DURING THE FIRST YEAR OF COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DEB-9634135 – The University of New Mexico assumed responsibility for the operation and management of the Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network Office (NET) on March 15, 1997. During the first year of the Cooperative Agreement, a sub-award to the University of Washington provided for continuity in the operation of the LTER electronic communications network including the LTER and International LTER (ILTER) home pages.
