The University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Limnology (limnology.wisc.edu) is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Assistant Director (Job Title: Administrative Program Specialist). Applications close August 20, 2021.

The specific job responsibilities of this position include the following: managing and overseeing operations of the Hasler Laboratory of Limnology, working closely with Principal Investigators to garner external research funding, providing high level administrative support to the Center Director and Principal Investigators, managing and overseeing budgets, contributing to public engagement and communications, and implementing strategic directions and initiatives.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is the birthplace of the discipline of limnology in North America. Over a century later, the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Center for Limnology is an internationally recognized research center focused on the study of freshwater ecosystems and resources. We work on a wide range of basic and applied topics that include water quality, climate change impacts, harmful algal blooms, aquatic invasive species, and fisheries. We work closely with resource managers and other stakeholders, and focus on the integration of research, training, and outreach. The Center for Limnology is comprised of two facilities: Hasler Laboratory of Limnology on the shores of Lake Mendota in Madison, WI, and Trout Lake Station located near Boulder Junction, WI.
